The WSSD Newsletter has become a standard in our district with many other departments following my department's (technology) lead. In September 2008, I launched my first edition to inform teachers, administrators, and the community about the grant, 21st century teaching and learning, and new tools to support technology integration. My goal was to publish monthly, but I quickly learned that I didn't have time to draft a four-page newsletter each month with the daily demands of my job. Since my position moved into the technology department, the newsletter has shrunk in size (whew!) and is written by myself, our tech director, and our network manager. The goal is to provide highlights on pertinent technology information and to recognize good teaching practices with technology.
